BeckeyDon

Ramario Betton (born June 25, 1996) better known by his stage name Beckey Don, is a Jamaican Dancehall/Reggae recording artiste from Kingston/Jamaica who is widely known from his ‘Hit’ single ‘6 Finger N 12 Toes”.
Ramario Betton lived a kaleidoscopic childhood as he was always moving to new communities throughout Jamaica which include: Linstead, Ewarton, Spanish Town, Greater Portmore, Falmouth, Downtown Kingston, Ochi Rios and Harbour view. Ramario attended Belmont Park Primary and then Dinthill Technical High School of which he graduated with honors for outstanding academic achievement. He then went on to achieve a bachelor of applied science degree in Industrial Engineering at the Caribbean Maritime Institute. During his tenure at these institutions he often got into minor troubles for always singing, dee-jaying and disturbing the day to day running of these institutions.
Ramario began meddling with music at the age of nine (9). At this time, he lived in Ewarton right next to a sound system known as Ruff Explosion sound owned by the area leader his uncle ‘Dili Dave’ and cousin Otis Riddim, where the notorious Michael Collins better known by his stage name Sizzla Kalonji had a slew of dub-plates. Ramario often always saw the community men taking the microphone and singing and became fascinated; and one night took the microphone and dee-jayed as if he had known it since inception. As of this night Ramario dreamt of becoming the best recording artiste in Jamaican and Dancehall history. Ramario became serious about music when the legendary Michael Jackson died on his 13th birthday June 25, 2009 as he thought this was a sign from God. As of Michael’s death Ramario began dee-jaying vigorously and downloading new instrumentals every night to create new songs which he never wrote down, but remembered them all in his head.
Over the years Ramario was often held back due to not being able to financially compensate his musical aspirations. His mother also wanted him to become an engineer as she saw this as a more combobulated future for Ramario. Ramario began saving his lunch money and went to Markus Records due to often being asked if he was the son of Mark Myrie (Buju Banton). During his tenure at Markus records he recorded several songs which include: Time to Time, Fall Threw, After the Rain, Position Quik & ‘6 fingers N 12 toes’ which created a huge buzz for the young prodigy. Following this he released the music video for the single entitled “6 Finger N 12 Toes” which would allow him to rise to critical acclaim in his native country.
