GYPTIAN WINS 2010 MOBO AWARD FOR 'BEST REGGAE ARTIST'

(VP RECORDS, NEW YORK) - VP Records recording artistGyptian received his trophy for the 2010 MOBO Award live during the ceremony at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England on Tuesday, October 20, 2010. Awarded the 'Best Reggae Artist of the Year,' Gyptian took the stage to accept his prestigious statue infront of a packed house and millions viewing around the world.

"It's an overwhelming feeling winning my first international award," reveals an elated Gyptian. "Give thanks to VP Records, miles ahead in reggae, give thanks to my fans, my management and everyone who has been supporting me on this incredible journey."

Gyptian's singles "Hold You" and "Nah Let Go" and the respective videos have been receiving steady airplay across the UK ever since the release of his album, Hold You, from VP Records in July 2010. He is currently touring Europe and took a quick break to attend theMOBO Awards, which was televised live on BBC 3. Gyptian now resumes his tour across Europe and will also join Mary J. Blige for her UK tour, opening for her London and Birmingham shows in November.

Gyptian now heads to the Soul Train Awards on November 10 in Atlanta, Georgia, where he is nominated for "Best Reggae Artist" and will also be a featured performer during the show, airing on BETand CENTRIC on November 28 at 9pm.

The Music of Black Origin or MOBO Awards are held annually in the U.K. and is the first awards show in Europe to honor urban music. GYPTIAN NOMINATED FOR SOUL TRAIN AWARD VP Records Artist to Perform Live at Soul Train Awards, Airing on CENTRIC and BET on Sunday, November 28, 2010

(VP RECORDS, NEW YORK)  - VP Records recording artist Gyptian continues to rack up nominations this awards' season with his nomination for'Best Reggae Artist' at this year's Soul Train Awards. The reggae singer will also be performing live at the awards ceremony, taking place on Wednesday, November 10 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia. Hosted by Oscar-nominated actors Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, the Soul Train Awards will premiere on both CENTRIC and BET onSunday, November 28 at 9pm.

Gyptian joins a hotlist of the top entertainers in music today at CENTRIC's second undertaking of the annual awards, including Alicia Keys and Usher who both lead the pack with four nominations, Drake with three nods, and MonicaNicki MinajJanelle MonaeErykah Badu and Sade with two each. Also joining Gyptian on stage for live performances are Ne-YoRick RossKeyshia ColeR. KellyBaduCee-Lo and more, proving to be an exciting night for music and for reggae's reigning star.

Gyptian currently has two songs in rotation on radio with his breakout hit "Hold You" and his new smash "Nah Let Go," both singles from his current album, Hold You, released from VP Records in July 2010. With a solid foundation and fan base, the versatile entertainer now sees his international acclaim grow, and has already seen collaborations with the likes of Nicki MinajBusta Rhymes and Mary J. Bligeand will be joining Blige for her UK tour on November 2-3 in England.

This is the second major award nomination for Gyptian, as he's also nominated for the 2010 MOBO Award in the UK, also for 'Best Reggae Artist.' He will be attending the MOBO Awards on Wednesday, October 20 in Liverpool, England.

GYPTIAN JOINS FORCES WITH MARY J. BLIGE

Reggae Star Added to Blige's UK Tour

(VP RECORDS, NEW YORK)  - Reggae star Gyptian continues to sizzle this year as he now joins forces with the iconic Mary J. Blige. Gyptian will be breaking from his tour schedule to join the R&B queen on the England leg of her UK tour. He takes the stage on November 2 at The O2 Arena in London, the same venue Michael Jackson was slated to headline for his infamous 'This Is It' concert. Gyptian then heads with Blige to the LG Arena in Birminghamon November 3, before resuming his own tour. Gyptian has been touring consistently since releasing his current album Hold You this summer, even joining Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley and Nas on several dates of their recent'Distant Relatives' tour in the US.

Gyptian was enlisted for Blige's new single, "Anything You Want," which is expected to be on her new album. The reggae-infused track also features Busta Rhymes and has been receiving steady airplay since its release in early September.

This exciting concert collaboration was secured by Planet Reggae, the new booking division of VP Records/Greensleeves Records, with AEG, the world's #1 concert production company.

Gyptian to 'Hold You' at BBC Radio Concert

(VP RECORDS, NEW YORK)  - Reggae star Gyptian crosses the pond to wow British fans for the annual BBC Radio 1Xtra Live, taking place atWembley Arena in London on Saturday, September 25. Gyptian joins a hotlist of international acts for the annual event that also includes B.O.B andJason Derulo, in addition to local U.K. acts.

"BBC Radio continues to show me a lot of love," reveals Gyptian. "They've always supported my music and I'm looking forward to performing at 1Xtra Live." Gyptian will be singing his tunes to even more U.K. fans during his upcoming European tour, which runs from October 13 to November 13.

Gyptian's popularity continues to skyrocket internationally, as the videos for his first smash hit, "Hold You," has now been added into rotation on MTV Base and its Major Lazer remix into play on MTV Dance, over in the UK. He is also nominated for "Reggae Artist of the Year" at the 2010 MOBO Awards, which takes place in Liverpool on October 20. He will be competing with fellow VP Records artist, Gappy Ranks, for the honor.

(VP RECORDS, NEW YORK)  - Still enjoying the growing success of his breakout international hit, "Hold You," reggae star Gyptian's follow-up new single, "Nah Let Go," is another crowd pleaser. The video for the new single debuts on the #1 most-watched music countdown show in the world, BET's106 & Park, as the coveted "New Joint" on Thursday, September 16, 2010.

"Nah Let Go" is the second single from Gyptian's third album, Hold You, released by VP Records in July 2010. The tropical-flavored romantic ballad was just added into rotation on rhythmic radio authority, HOT97 WQHT, in New York. 

The video was shot in Gyptian's homeland of Jamaica, and depicts Gyptian on a rendezvous with his lady love, while lush landscapes of the island countryside provide the perfect backdrop. It was shot by famed Jamaican film and music video director, Ras Kassa. The video is also currently in rotation on MTV JamsMTVUMusic Choice and MuchVibe in Canada.
