BLACK DADA FEATURED IN THE MIAMI HERALD,
SHOOTS VIDEOS AND GIVES BACK TO CHARITY
Black Dada has received tremendous buzz nationally with his breakout hit "Imma Zoe," which most recently landed the singer on Billboard's Top 100 R&B/Hip-Hop chart. The remix saw a sizzling collaboration with Rick Ross and Birdman and has propelled the track out of Florida, even garnering airplay on New York's HOT97. The videos for both singles were shot in early August by director Gil Green and will soon hit airwaves.
Black Dada has performed the hit tune on BET's 106 & Park twice this year, and hopes to return to premier the videos to his fans. "It was crazy shooting my first major video," he reveals. "Working alongside Gil Green, Rick Ross and Birdman was a great experience and I can't wait for everyone to see them." He is also featured in upcoming issues of Ozone Magazine, Hip Hop Weekly, Scoop, Lumiere and Jamrock magazines, just to name a few.
Celebrating his success by giving back, Black Dada and the Strictly Business (SBR) family recently donated $5,000 to the Radio Lollipop International Children's Charity, partnering up with DJ Laz and Miami's POWER96 for the Lollipop Radiothon at the Miami's Children's Hospital on August 11-12. TEFLON freed of all charges!!!
Popular dancehall entertainer Shaniel Watson, aka Teflon, was freed of charges of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition when he appeared in the Port Maria Circuit Court yesterday. High court judge Bertram Morris dismissed all charges against the accused, citing several discrepancies in the evidence against him. During his summation, Judge Bertram Morris said that "the practice of tampering with evidence is such a sore point" and added he had no choice but to give the benefit of the doubt to the entertainer. He warned the accused to be careful in the future.
Allegations against Watson are that on August 28, 2008, a team of police from Area Two headquarters went to his studio in an area known as 'Yard A Love' near Oracabessa, St Mary. It was further alleged that the entertainer was spotted with a black strap bag over his shoulder when he was accosted and searched. During the search, a .45 pistol loaded with seven rounds along with an iPod and camera was taken from the bag. Watson was later arrested and charged.
